This is my last post for the year and I am just going to do a bunch of different songs because I seriously can't decide on one song to do... I am so conflicted and I don't like to be conflicted, so I just chose to do more than one song (hah... I already said that...).
These are songs that have been running through my head lately, for no apparent reason (some of them). I apologize ahead of time for some of the songs because I don't normally listen to this type of music and some of the videos may be a little strange, but they are some of my favorite songs (songs that are part of the music that I normally listen to) and it is my last post, so I feel some safety (not really the right word, but I don't know what else to say) in posting them.
The Way I Am by Ingrid Michaelson
I love this song right now because I feel connected to it and isn't that essentially what you need to have a song be a good song. It doesn't have a story connected to it or a moment in my life, I just feel like it was made especially for me.
Livin' La Vida Loca by Ricky Martin
I just want to dance every time I hear this song and no, I don't like it because it's from Shrek (I have no idea why I brought that up, I'm so very sorry). Also, I don't think he's cute (why people automatically assume that for every girl to like any song sang by a guy, I have no idea).
Bartender and Buy You a Drink (Shawty Snappin') by T-Pain
I'm so sorry
Wildwood Flower by Mother Maybelle and the Carter Family (Mike Ness covered and also a bunch of people covered)
I love this song :)
Okay, well I think that this is it. Bye! :)
Music is My Life
Every tuesday and thursday is(are) a different song(s) and I give a reason to my new songs. Music brings an emotion to me that nothing else can, so that is why I write about it.

Heading to the Disco by the Horrorpops
When I first heard this song, I was really into the '80's (not that I'm not now... I am though not like 2 years ago) and my dad was in the car listening to pandora and this song came on and it peaked his interest because at the time we thought that the Horrorpops only had two albums and this was off their third album which was surprising for him, so that's what first peaked his interest. The other thing that peaked his interest was that it was a song totally trashing a thing that his daughter was totally into at the time, although he knew that I didn't put on neon colored spandex and things like that, I was just into hair metal, which I've done a post about already.
He liked it and then when it came on again when I was in the car, he forced me to listen to it (not really forced me to, considering I love them, I listened willingly) and then I started to laugh as I listened to the lyrics, it amused me how much it showed that they didn't like the '80's, which I could understand, considering they are phsycobilly which is kind of a '50's revival with a punk rock spin.
Then a couple of months later, I found an interview with Patricia Day, the singer and stand-up bassist for the band, and in that interview she expressed the reason why she wrote this song was because her friends dragged her to a hair metal cover band for her birthday (even though she lived through the '80's) and she thought the whole thing was so ridiculous and over the top that she wrote the song in mockery.

I Want You to Want Me (originally by Cheap Trick) by Chris Isaak
This is the one of my last posts for this blog... so I wanted to do something that I really loved tonight and I really love this song, although I have never heard the original.
I've always known this song, because it's always been in everything it seems. I fell for this song, I think, when I saw the movie 10 Things I Hate About You (don't say anything bad about that movie... Heath Ledger is absolutely amazing.... :( RIP).
I'm going to post the various versions of the song for your enjoyment.

Manic Monday by the Bangles
I have no idea where I first heard this song, but I faintly remember this song from years ago. I hadn't heard this song for years, until I heard it on the radio this past weekend.
It's such a weird song to have randomly pop back into your life, but I wanted to post it so I could get it out of my system.
Fun little fact: It was written by Prince (although I don't know how true this is because the source was wikipedia).

Bela Lugosi'a Star by the Nekromantix
I love this song... It's off their newer album (I don't know if one came out this year, but this album came out last year). Last summer I got the opportunity to see them in concert and no, I don't really remember if they played this song.
They were the loudest band that my dad had ever seen and he used to sit against the speaker cabinets at shows... So, I couldn't really hear what they played and what they didn't, plus I hadn't heard the song until later after the show when we got the cd.

Yeah I'm Really Doing This.... So Just Follow Me Here
So yeah... This post is just a random free for all and I'm really posting all of the songs that I am. So.... There is no real order or not really anything specific to do with any of the songs.
I apologize for this week because this has been a very odd week.... Next week will be better, I only hope.
(This next one kind of has some significance... haha :) I love my friends)

Suga Suga (How You Get So Fly?) by Baby Bash feat. Frankie J.
Okay, okay. This isn't like anything I normally post, but thanks to a friend last week, this song has been stuck in my head. This song is a very catchy song that is super easy to get stuck in your head. I just had to post it today.
I'll I have to say now is... You got me lifted, shifted, higher than a ceiling. And ooh wee it's the ultimate feeling. You got me lifted, feeling so gifted. Suga suga, how you get so fly? Suga suga, how you get so fly? Suga suga, how you get so fly? Suga suga, how you get so fly? Suga suga, how you get so fly?
Wow.... I'll stop now.
