These are some of my favorite Maroon 5 songs. I like these songs for some of the same reasons, but for different reasons too.
First: One More Night. This is the perfect song for describing a love/hate relationship, the kind that you know you should probably give up because you know it is bad for you, but you've lived with it for so long that you don't know if you could live without it. I like this song because I don't normally hear songs like this, they're usually about love or heartbreak or other things, but not this.
Second: Misery. This is similar to the first song.
Third: She Will Be Loved. This song has a strong message to me. Everyone should be loved. I love it because of it's message.
Every tuesday and thursday is(are) a different song(s) and I give a reason to my new songs. Music brings an emotion to me that nothing else can, so that is why I write about it.

Sacrifice by The Expendables; Come Original by 311
Sacrifice reminds me of a song that could come from another band that I like, called 311 and I actually thought it was 311 when I first heard it. I love this song because I can listen to it no matter what mood I'm in and it will make me smile.
We all have those things in our lives, whether we know it or not, it could be a song, a specific type of dance, a movie, a play, an opera, a person, an instrument... etc. When we find it, (whether we already have or not, I remind you) it's very powerful and no one should let it go, ever.
Come Original is a another song that makes me smile when I hear it. It reminds me that I have to be myself no matter what and maybe it's not telling me that, but that is what I take from it.
When I get jealous of anything, I can listen to this song and it calms me down and I can be myself again, it's a get yourself in check song for me. This video is a little strange, just to warn you, but it's original. :)

King Cry Baby (from Cry Baby)
I love this song! It's probably because Johnny Depp sings it and he is a good singer in this movie. I only saw this movie for the first time a year ago or so, but when I saw it, all I wanted to do is see it over and over.
This movie is cheesy, yes, but I love it. You need a little cheesy in your life, or unless your me (then you need less cheesy(: ). It is suppose to be a parody of all of the 1950's greaser movies. It's a good song for a good movie.

Elvis Medley
Today is Elvis's birthday, he would be 78 today if he had lived past age 42. So today, to honor the King of Rock 'n Roll, I planned to do a medley of his songs. Now whenever you hear the word medley, you probably think of all of one persons items (songs) mushed into one thing, but that's not what I'm doing, I'm going to do multiple songs in this one blog post.
The songs I was thinking about doing are from his movies.
The first song is (Such An) Easy Question. I picked this song because I feel like everyone beats around the bush when faced with that question (do you love me?) but not only that question, as humans, we tend to beat around the bush about almost every thing, we don't really like confrontation, but even that is stereotypical, some people love confrontation.
The second song is One Broken Heart For Sale. This song is a good broken heart song. This song is one of those songs that makes you almost want to hate the person it's about (it makes me), because you ultimately feel sorry for the singer. I haven't seen the movie this is from, so I don't know what the movie scene was about, but I can guess it was about a broken heart.
The third song is All That I Am. I love this song because it is a really nice love song.
The fourth song is G.I. Blues. This song is his 'soldier song' (in my opinion). It's from the movie, G.I. Blues, which is about a soldier touring Germany who wants to open a nightclub after getting out of the army. It's funny, because when Elvis was in the army from 1958 to 1960, he toured Germany, so it's ironic.
The fifth song is Jailhouse Rock. This song is from his third movie with the same title. I love this song, because it really has that rock n' roll feel to it and I love that version of Elvis Presley, not that I don't love his slower stuff like his ballads. I love every version of Elvis, but I love this version the most.
The sixth song is I Got Lucky. This song is from the movie, Kid Galahad, which was a boxer movie. I love this part in the movie, it's sweet, because it's him trying to get the girl.
The seventh song is Shake That Tambourine. This song is from Harum Sacrum. I like this song because it makes me dance and smile and I like that feeling.
The eighth song is Rock-a-Hula Baby. This song is from Blue Hawaii. I like this song because it makes me dance and smile and I like that feeling.
